Disclosure: I’m thrilled to work with these marvelous Chicago businesses- and my kids have pretty much hit the Activity Lottery. Although I’m compensated, all thoughts, opinions, and kiddos with swagger are entirely my own.

New to our adventures around town? Check here and here for previous weeks’ escapades! It’s been incredibly, gloriously fun. That said, keeping track of the weeks has been haaard, you guys. So…recap!
Recap:
Goldfish Swim School, Bradley Place- Ooh man, if I could name one gigantic benefit of signing your kids up for this wonderful swim program, that word would be confidence. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Keely, your kids already feel like they know everything, how is this different?” First: <—truth. And second: Goldfish gives them physical know-how alongside the psychological feelings of awesomeness. In layman’s terms: While Susannah always felt like she could jump from a dock and paddle around like a professional dog, now she actually has the physical ability to (safely) do so.
Windy City Ninjas- Speaking of things which are great for my heart rate, the little twosome has been continuing on at WCN and climbing ropes, sliding down pipes, and making short work of gravity with the warped wall. New this week: Jasper has taken a real shine to parkour- a.k.a leaping from perch to padded perch- but mainly because he views each landing as a spiffy spot to take a li’l rest.
Design Dance- And our final class with this session of hip hop at Design Dance! Families were invited to the open class for a mini performance of dances the girls had made up as a group. And, whoo boy, if the warmup was any indication…
And speaking of confidence, check li’l miss Please Don’t Make Me Go Onstage:
I cannot possibly recommend this class highly enough. Miss Abby is a (patient) gem, and Design Dance is a wonderful, wonderful company with- guess what?- a new session starting this week! Check out their full listing of Chicago dance classes here.
And start working on your own “signature move.”
Love,
Keely
