If you missed the first time I raved about the incredible SoCozy company (founded by NYC salon owner Cozy Friedman), brace yourself: I’m about to go at it again. This household is downright obsessed with SoCozy’s line of non-toxic, nasty-free hair care products.
Ready for what they DON’T have?

- Alcohol, gluten, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts (In case your allergic kid was like me, and enjoyed tasting their beauty products. I’m not proud of this.)

- Targeted hair care for all kinds of hair and all kinds of kiddo
- A great social media presence that promotes and inspires confidence and individuality
- (A soft styling cream called Pear-fection that I may or may not have stolen for my own bathroom mirror.)
So what did we try this month?
The beautifully multitasking 3-in-1 (in mango-go) is a shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. And I’m not saying it makes your kids edible, but it sure makes them smell that way. (See: the necessity of those allergen-free disclosures. Sigh.) Susannah’s crazy for this one, and not only because she doesn’t have time for all of these soapy bath time steps.
Nora’s my curly girl whose waves tend towards poofy puffballs by the end of the day without the proper support. She absolutely dug the Boing Curl gel-cream for its softness and, let’s be honest, because she got her very own haircare product. Not too shabby for a kindergartener. (I dug it because a) I’m keeping her free of chemicals and b) her hair looks adorable.)
And the Boo! 3-Step lice systems are beyond fantastic because- and stick with me, here- we don’t have lice. And lice has definitely run rampant through multiple classrooms. And it may even rear its ugly (scratchy) head in the future. But these essential oil-infused beauties naturally repel those critters- and oh my God, I’m totally scratching up a storm as I type, I cannot even stand the idea of lice. That said, this is probably the product my kids love above all others. (Even Jasper, Who. Can. Not. Be Bothered.) Full of tea tree, peppermint, and rosemary oil, my kids simply refer to the spray as “the peppermint.” And it’s considered a treat. Isn’t that bananas?
