A Museum Of Science Giveaway! Go Play, Chicago!

Disclaimer: I was given free passes to Chicago’s Museum of Science & Industry in exchange for my giveaway, but all thoughts, opinions, and terrible senses of direction are entirely my own.

It’s no secret that Chicago has some of the best museums in the world. One of my absolute favorites- again, no secret- is the Museum of Science & Industry. I could spend days there. Even if there weren’t new exhibits opening all the time (which there are), I’d happily while away entire afternoons playing with Science Storms and pretending I live in Colleen Moore’s fairy castle.

But the shiny new stuff? Whoo boy, you’ve gotta come check this out.

We’re currently stoked about the Numbers in Nature exhibit, which examines (and celebrates!) all of the naturally occurring patterns in our world; spirals, the golden ratio, fractal branching… And it is, in a word, awesome. (And remember that guy I married? The one with Pi tattooed on his shoulder blade? His reactions were almost embarrassing.) Throughout the exhibit you’ll find opportunities to play with and manipulate holograms and patterns, which made at least one of my children feel like Elsa, conjuring ice mountains. (Okay, that was P.J., too.) The highlight of this whole shebang is the mirror maze. It’s fantastic, you guys.

Oh great, another thing she gets to be in charge of.

Want to go see it? I’m giving away a family four-pack of tickets to the beyond-wonderful Museum of Science & Industry. (Check the Rafflecopter below, I swear it doesn’t bite! And this one’s quick, so enter now; I want to make sure you have oh-so much time to see those darned purity trees.) And while you’re playing at the Museum, be sure to marvel at the stunning Christmas tree gallery, featuring decorations and traditions from around the world! My favorite part was seeing that the Ecuadorian tree (since P.J.’s a teensy bit Ecuadorian) and the Armenian tree (since I’m a huge bit Armenian) were next to each other. And they were facing the Germans and the Dutch and the Irish, too. Our people! In one, big, sparkly room.

Armenia Tree MSI

Go spend a day at the MSI, pals. It’s one of the nicest things to do- this season and all year ’round.

(And say hi to my tree for me!)
