Happy Wednesday! It’s freezing cold (though not as freezing cold as yesterday), and it’s about to be the holidays (though not as holidayesque as it’s gonna be a month from now). So let’s celebrate with a giveaway, yes? But first…
A Random Assortment Of Things I Wrote Super Recently:
- My column at 101.9FM The MIX this month is all about my eating habits. AND HOW INCREDIBLE THEY ARE.
- Being as I’ve been married for all of five seconds, here’s all you need to know about keeping a marriage happy.
- So there was this time that my editors at Chicago Parent asked me to rough it and spend an evening with a personal chef and some pals…
- Did you know I have superpowers? (Spoiler: They’re useless.)
- I’m a new columnist for Hey Baby Chicago Magazine! Here’s what it looks like. Now go around Chicagoland and grab one, because I wrote five articles and am featured with the kiddos on the back inside cover.
- We hosted a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate…and pretty much imploded from Le Cute.
- My sister got married over the weekend. So here’s a picture with some sunglasses.

And now, for THE ARTS:
You know how you always say that this is the year you’re taking your little one to the ballet for the firsttimever, that THIS is the year you’ll get all dressed up and experience The Nutcracker smack dab in the middle of the holiday season- and not even on VHS?
Now’s your chance, Chicago Mama (or Papa or Grandparent or nanny or…)
The Ruth Page Civic Ballet is presenting their annual production of The Nutcracker and staging it at Northeastern Illinois University (at 5500 N. St. Louis, Chi) for two days only on December 6th and 7th. And if you’re unfamiliar with the Ruth Page company, you’re in for a treat. This show features over 80 performers, world class dancing, and more holiday joy that you can shake a jingle bell at.
Want two tickets? Comment below and enter the (super duper user-friendly) Rafflecopter, and let me know a) which date you’d like to attend (the 6th or the 7th), and b) which date you’d like to take (your favorite kid or your favorite blogger).
Choose wisely.
