As a member of Netflix’s Stream Team, I’m thrilled to bring freshly curated content straight to your grateful eyeballs each month. May means music! Read (and sing) on, yeah?

Deep dark secret time: I used to wish that my life were a musical. Like, when I was younger. (Like, last week.)
Netflix is feelin’ me this month with its list of fling-your-arms-wide and sing-it-to-the-rafters featured titles, just in time for that season of spring musicals (not to mention spring fever). Join me in regaling the minivan and embarrassing my kids, won’t you?
I mean, come on. Who didn’t want to be Sandy, Danny, and Rizzo (or, at the very least, Jan) at Rydell High?
If you tell me you’ve never wished to angrily dance in a warehouse a la Kevin Bacon, I will not believe you.
And for the tiniest Rockettes in your life, do they know how to paint with all the colors of the wind? (Hey, friends with Let It Go stuck in your head at 4am, you’re welcome.)
Or how about our [my] new utter favorite, RockADoodle? (I’m sorry, an Elvis-impersonating rooster? Where have you been all my life?)
If you’re anything like us [me], all this singin’ and dancin’ has made you [me] snacky. Well, thanks to Andrea Lynn, we were able to try out this ridiculously adorable Shrek Parfait. Because, to quote one wise donkey, “Have you ever met a person, you say Let’s go get some parfaits they say No, I don’t like no parfaits. Parfaits are delicious!”
So we made some delicious Shrek Parfaits.
Here’s our super-technical, super-detailed take on Andrea’s (super-cute) recipe:
We carefully measured yogurt and stirred in some honey.
We delicately layered (frozen!) fruit. (Pro tip: If you offer your kids frozen grapes, they’ll look at you like you are a wizard.)
We painstakingly placed granola.
And then we housed those parfaits like ogres.
A lazy afternoon spent harmonizing with my favorite star performers, followed up by a picturesque (if you squint) snacktime with the hungry chorus?
Now that’s something to sing about.
