I am a ridiculously lucky girl.
No, I mean it.
Not only has a good cross-section of the interwebs come together in support of this, my third child…but my awesome local gal pals threw me a frozen food shower this past Saturday. Ever heard of such a thing? It’s even better than it sounds:
A bunch of friends host a party.
That you get to attend.
And, right when it’s time to leave, they all give you a bunch of food to put in your freezer at home.
Thusly ensuring that, when one’s THIRD CHILD arrives, said Mama doesn’t have to break down at roughly 4:30pm each day. (Well, not on account of dinner prep, anyhow.)
My darling friends Angie, Bethany, and Sara threw the shindig at Angie’s house, and we were joined by lovely ladies Leah, Maurya, and Kat. (Other friends who couldn’t make it have been all like- we’ll bring even more food to your home after the baby comes. Listen, had I but known that a third baby brings its own meals, well, it would’ve happened years ago Itellyouwhat.)
I’d love to show you pictures, but I really cannot. No, really.
Because here’s a nice one of Bethany and me.
And that’s when I started to lose it.
If you’ve ever seen me have one of my “hysterical laughter episodes,” then you’ll know that it ain’t camera-ready.
So ladies, I apologize. And I thank you. For a wonderful afternoon, for valued friendships, and for ridiculously awesome meals which I can’t wait to eat…
…At which time I can only hope this latest snarfy-laughter episode will have ceased.
What can I say? Friendship makes me giddy.
Also, a sip of Bethany’s famous mimosas.
